Robert Mathias is a native of Chicago  and studied photography at Columbia College in that city and Winona School for Professional Photographers in Winona, Indiana. He opened his first professional studio in 1967.

Mr. Mathias served the San Antonio community for 20 years and specialized in Fine Portraiture - Mother and Child. He recently moved his studio to Spring, Texas, a northern suburb of Houston. He is known for his ability to capture moods and emotion with light and shadows, as exhibited in displays of his work. He also works in black and white to accomplish dramatic effects of lasting beauty. His is a commitment to excellence.

Every artist has his own concept of beauty and interpretation of the subject matter.
